I have learned that self confidence is an upward spiral. Self confidence leads to professional success, which in turn leads to increased self confidence, which leads to higher levels of success, and so on.

You might be saying, “That’s great, but how do I become self confident if I’m new in my job or career and haven’t had a lot of success to bolster my self confidence?” There’s an old saying that applies here: “Fake it till you make it.” In other words, act as if you’re successful. This will help you succeed. Your success will help you build your self confidence.

How, do you “fake it, will you make it?” Start with affirmations. If you’re in a new job, tell yourself something like, “I have the skills and desire to succeed in this job,” several times a day. If you repeat this to yourself often enough, you will start to believe it. This will help you perform at the level necessary in order to actually succeed in your job. My Successful Life

Affirmations are positive self talk. The intent behind affirmations is that when you think of the things to which you aspire, like becoming a success, and then tell yourself that you are a professional success, you will believe that you can become successful. A couple of years ago, I wrote a book that used a star to depict this model. I urged readers to think of themselves as a star and to aspire to becoming a career and life star. I like the star metaphor. Daily, I repeat the following affirmation to myself: “I am a star.”

I’ve also done something a tiny unusual. A few years ago, right after my book was published, I went to the “Name a Star” website and titled a star after myself. Now I can state “I am a star” and really believe it, because a star with my study really exists.

My titled star is Catalog Number TYC 868-1011-1 in the constellation Leo. It has a Visual Magnitude indicator of 11.2. Right Ascension is 11h 58m 21s. Declination is 11degrees, 43,’18.”

Well I came from the streets of Bronx, New York, and I find it interesting how many that have succeeded and continue to succeed usually come from nothing. In the Projects, people work hard for what they want because they have no other choice. Therefore it makes success a necessity rather than a possibility. Have that mentality. A wise man once told me that there’s no half stepping when it comes to hustling. That means treat your business as your only option and work non stop until you reach your goals.

4) A successful home business must have a reality:

You have to be healthy to be yourself and keep it real. Don’t lie or try to con people, for that will always come to the light eventually. Remain honest and with integrity. Liars need good memories, and you will slip once if you’re lying so just save yourself the trouble by just keeping it real with yourself and others.

5) A successful home business must have knowledge:

You have to know how to solve your target market’s problems, or at least be involved in and be healthy to benefit from a system that does. Knowledge is everlasting, and taking action with that knowledge to help others is the knockout combo. So continuing to learn ‘relevant’ knowledge and providing value is crucial to the success of any home business.

6) A successful home business must have a 1st place space pace:

Always strive to be the best. Whether it be in the form of providing the most knowledge, creating the most efficient system, and/or being the most helpful, etc, strive to be the ideal at it. Make sure your worst races always end in first places. However, the other key, which is missed by many, is to also wish and help others reach 1st place as well. You might work only 6-10 hours a week, but you have to stick to that schedule and do it on a consistent basis. Success in anything doesn’t happen overnight or out of thin air. The power of easy regular actions, compounded over time will bring you the results you desire.

I frequently here people state that they would like to try making money online but they don’t have enough money to get started. Join two affiliate programs, I advocate Clickbank and Commission Junction. These companies grant you to promote their products on your site. Each time someone makes a purchase, you get a percentage of the understanding price. Commissions vary between 20% and 75% depending on the product.

The next three steps are the same: market, market, market. To have a successful blog you must promote it. Otherwise, no one will know that your blog exists. You can promote it by writing articles and submitting them to the largest article submission directories. I do this myself and it works very well.

Register with the massive forums and comment on at least 8 posts per day. It is important that you state something worthwhile in your comments. Don’t just say, ‘nice post.’ That won’t help you at all. In apiece of your comments, include a signature file that links to your blog.
